One-Off Donation

Your donation to Avalon contributes towards helping to meet some of the vast unmet needs in the community.

You also have the opportunity, if you so desire, to specify a program or activity you want to support (Homeless project, drop-in, etc) or suggest a particular focus for a group that you would like to see funded or established.

Regular Giving

Ongoing sponsorship by committing to regular, ongoing donations supports Avalon’s activities and helps our plans to meet unmet needs in the community.

To set up a monthly credit card payment, please click on the ‘Donate now’ button below.

Workplace Giving

Workplace giving is a great way to donate to your chosen charity directly from your pre-tax working income.

By signing up to support Avalon via your workplace giving the program, you’ll be supporting the vulnerable and disadvantaged members of the community.

Directed Funds

You may wish to give a donation that specifies where your money is going.

For example $10 to buy a care pack for the Homeless or $15 for Socks and Jocks.

Material Donations

What CAN I donate?

When considering whether something can be donated, our rule of thumb is if you’d give it to a friend, then it’s ok to give to Avalon.

  • All Men’s Clothing
  • Some Children’s Clothing
  • All Winter Wear (seasonal)
  • Sleepwear
  • Clean, Unstained Bedding
  • Shoes and Socks – Clean/near new
  • Any unopened toiletries or essentials that anyone that is in need may require

Please note:
We may sell some items that may not be suitable to distribute (e.g evening gowns, suits etc) to raise funds for essential items like underwear and personal care products. Any proceeds from the sale of donated clothes will support our mission of assisting and empowering the homeless community. Thank you for your support.

What CAN’T I donate?

It takes a lot of volunteer hours to sort through the thousands of items we get each week that aren’t usable. Please do not donate any of the following:

  • Soiled/Unwashed Bedding
  • Clothes that cannot be worn due to damage
  • Furniture
  • Electrical Goods
  • Damaged or Broken Goods
  • Used Underwear
  • Household Goods e.g. photo frames, ornaments etc.
  • Opened Toiletries

Please remember that, for clothes, if you cannot wear it due to condition, do not donate it.

For more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
